Jonathan Sanford has always had a love for the stage as a saxophonist, singer, and dancer. He's had special performances on ABC's General Hospital and for ESPN's ESPY awards. He has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Max Roach, Danilo Perez, Chris Vadala, and Hollywood starlet Jamie Ray Newman. Sanford is an independent recording artist, former member of Chicago's mainstay Fly Williams, and electronic musician with Los Angeles' Mr. Tiny's Electric Toy Band heard on L.A.'s KXLU. He was also a member of the Jimmy McConnel Jazz Orchestra in Los Angeles. His musical, World Of Our Own, was produced by Northwestern University. He also performs with Chicago percussive dance ensemble, Be The Groove. Sanford, a Baltimore native, is a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Music. Principal teachers include Dr. Frederick L. Hemke, Dr. Jonathan Helton, and Leo Saguiguit. He currently resides in Los Angeles where he composes and teaches.
